A bustling town situated 10km from Victoria Falls, Livingstone came in to its own when Vic Falls Town in Zimbabwe fell from grace but even with the resurgence of visitors to Zimbabwe, Livingstone still has a lot to offer the visitor, particularly with the introduction on the new KAZA visa which allows for entry in to both Zambia and Zimbabwe on a single visa (at the same cost of a single-entry visa) giving visitors the option to view the Falls from both sides offering different perspectives.
Due to the distance of the Falls from Livingstone itself, most of the accommodation is lodge based which offer half board up to all-inclusive with a variety of activities which includes transfers to the Falls although there are a couple of options for accommodation within walking distance of the Falls themselves.
Like Victoria Falls Town, there are plenty of high adrenalin activities available with white water rafting, microlight and helicopter flights as well as an excellent Livingstone town tour visiting the local museum with a large selection of David Livingstone memorabilia and the bustling Maramba market selling everything from fresh fruit and vegetables to beautiful fabrics.
